3. Trend tip: With consumers making more cautious decisions, a backlash of openly ostentatious "bling culture" has created a demand for a more muted luxury. Over-abundance and frivolities make way for real craftsmanship and heritage, emotional experience and intellect come in to play, new aesthetics free from the visual clichés and stock glamour of the past decade will be de rigueur.

Alex’s cocktail of choice: Amaretto Sour

  • 2 shots Disaranno Amaretto 
  • ½ fresh Egg white 
  • 1¼ shot Freshly squeezed lemon juice 
  • 2 dashes Angostura aromatic bitters

Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain in to an ice-filled rocks glass. Finish off with lemon slice and a cherry.
